
Sensei Adrian Cartand (3rd Dan Goju Ryu) is an active fighter across many competition formats including Karate point Kumite (Ippon Shobu), Kata, impact kumite (Koshiki), bareknuckle (Kyokushin), Japanese MMA (Kudo), BJJ and amateur MMA. He holds the Australian record for fastest cage fighting knockout at 6 seconds.
Sensei Adrian began his training in 1996 in a derivative of Goju Kai. In 2004 he began running a Dojo in Adelaide and 2009 his Dojo joined the Traditional Japanese Karate Network. In 2017 Adrian Sensei was awarded 3rd Dan in Goju Ryu. He also holds a Shodan-ho in Iaido, Nikyu in Kendo and Blue belt in Brazilain Jiu Jitsu.
Outside of martial arts Sensei Adrian works as a lawyer specialising in taxation law, and also builds legal artificial intelligence.
